Meet the RCC Volunteers

Tricia Barrett

Dear RCC Members,

My name is Tricia Barrett-Butler I am proud to accept the position of incoming President of the RCC. I currently live with my husband James, male Rottweiler “Parker”, aka CH Hemlock's Echo V Highline Am/Can CD, Am RA, HCT, TT, CGN and young female “Valen”, aka Hemlock’s ICame ISaw IConquered HIC as well as two cats here in Bradford, Ontario.

I have been involved in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Herding, SAR, rescue and am a CGN Evaluator with the CKC. My previous experience on the RCC Board was as the Ontario Director for 2 years and the RCCBSL Chair for 3 1/2 years, a position that I established upon my nomination in November of 2003. I also currently sit on the RCC Bylaw and COE Revision Committees and have since their inception.

I believe that we need to reengage our membership into our club. It is my hope and my goal to bring everyone back into the fold so that they feel as a part of not only the club, but in the direction and future of it as well. Everything from events, seminars, judge selections, education, awards and more; I want to hear from you and what you want from our club. I would like to encourage each and every one of you to feel free to contact me at any time with your feedback, advice or concerns. This is your club and your Board answers to you, the members.

I also want to hear from our current volunteers and Board members. It takes a lot of work and dedication to offer your free time to a club. I want to be sure that they are appreciated and encouraged to perform.

Lastly, I’d like to instill pride in being members of the RCC. Proud enough to encourage other Rottweiler owners of all backgrounds to join and become a force worthy of recognition among all breeds. Our membership numbers have been falling over the past 2 years and I’d like to see us rebound to larger and stronger numbers than ever before. I’m hoping that by bringing a positive, encouraging energy to the club it will help us to move onwards and upwards.

I look forward to serving our members, club and our breed over the next 2-year term.

Thank you,
Tricia Barrett-Butler
