My name is Kristi Fraser and I recently took over the position of webmaster for our club's seemingly endless website.  I live in Calgary, Alberta with my husband Darcy and 8 year old triplets, Braeden, Emily and Sarah.  We share our home and our hearts with our 5 Rottweilers.  Web design is a blossoming hobby of mine, and being a stay-at-home mother, I devote a good deal of time to it.

I have been active in obedience since 1997 - the year I became a dog groomer and took a job working at an obedience school here in Calgary that was owned by a CKC obedience judge who had bred Rottweilers in the past.  My jobs were grooming and care of the daycare dogs, but it was there that I discovered how addictive obedience was and I also discovered the amazing Rottweiler.

Although I started off with a little Golden Retriever named Jessie, I soon realized that I could not be without a Rottweiler in my life.  Along came my Jager (now 12 years old) who was my first Rottweiler, and although very soft in temperament, she has been an excellent ambassador for the breed, a wonderful demo-dog for a number of years, and has also played an integral part in training the puppies who have come into our home after her.

I am most proud of what I have been able to accomplish thus far with the first two dogs who came into my life after Jager.  Justice (Coultrains Poetic Justice CDX BH CGC CGN TT HIC, who passed away in 2007) was my first true working dog and I made a lot of mistakes with him, but I learned a lot too.  He was the #5 Obedience Dog in Canada in 2002 and was inducted onto the RCC Honour Roll in 2005.  Jewel (Can. Ch. & OTCh. Shacoram's Just Say When CDX CDI RE BH RL2 CGN TT HIC) is the foundation bitch of our kennel and semi-retired from the obedience ring now at age 7; she was inducted onto the RCC Honour Roll in 2006 and the RCC Hall of Fame in 2008.  I am also busy with one of Jewel's daughters, Seeker (Can. Ch. Akamai Dreamseeker CD RE RL1 TT CGN HIC) who was also inducted to the RCC Hall of Fame in 2009.  Both of these girls have ranked in rally obedience in Canada in both APDT and CKC events!  I am also enjoying my newest working partner immensely, Jewel's young grandson Ruckus (Can. Ch.  Akamai Bold Ruckus PCD RN TT HIC), who truly lives up to his name.  Last but not least is Mercy (Shacoram's Timeless Beauty TT) who joined our home in June 2009 at the age of 4.5 years ... she is a sweet, loving girl we enjoy living with.

I am active with my dogs in obedience, conformation and tracking.  I have been a member of the Rottweiler Club of Canada since 1998 and now adhere to the code of ethics of the club, breeding very occasionally under the prefix 'Akamai'.  I have become an active member of a local obedience club training weekly and ring stewarding at their annual obedience trials.

I have met many wonderful people in the dog world, and learned much so far, there is much more to learn.  One thing we have in common here is the Rottweiler and our love of this breed .... and how our dogs keep us all very humble!
