Meet the RCC Volunteers   Kim Zippel Alberta Prairies Director Kim’s love of dogs began in 1986 when she went to her first obedience class with her Siberian Husky.   After learning a lot more about training and different dog breeds, she acquired her first Rottweiler in 1987.  “Willya” introduced her to the competitive obedience ring, the conformation ring, the schutzhund field and tracking field.  In 1991 Kim and Willya earned the number one Rottweiler in obedience and number two Working Dog in Canada. Kim has worked professionally in the ‘dog business’ since 1987; running a Dog Grooming Salon, Doggy Daycare and Obedience School.   In 1997, Kim acquired Especially For Pets, a small pet supply store in Calgary.  Since then, she has incorporated her dog grooming, daycare and training business into the same location.   With all day at work being spent with the dogs, you’d be surprised that the thing Kim looks forward to most is to spend time with her dogs.   Kim is a great supporter of the Southern Alberta Rottweiler Rescue. She is currently acting as the fundraising coordinator and is an occasional foster mom for some of the rescues. Kim shares her home west of Calgary with a great husband, three super dogs and two wonderful cats.  PrairiesDirector@rottclub.ca
