What an amazing month for Burton (multi AKC BIS Am & Can Ch Ravenscrest The Alchemist  HIC CGC) who continues his reign in the US as #2 breed and all-breed- having defeated almost 10,000 dogs-- and well over 1000 rottweilers!

Burton started the month by winning ALL FOUR(!) supported entries of the Columbia River Rottweiler Club  in Eugene Oregon including under noted breeder judge Surely Rawlings of Florida and winning several group placements over the course of the month not the least of which was under Chuck Trotter of Tn & Ca and finishing off the month with a group win at the Burbank California shows under noted working group judge Kimberly Meredith Cavanna.

Burton is the #14 working dog (all breeds) in the US!!!!! What an achievement for a Canadian bred and owned rottweiler

I have a few brags from our trip to Cranbrook, BC last weekend.  We had a fantastic time in the HOT sun, and came away with some great results.

To start, we finished 2 young littermates over the course of the weekend.  Kalli, now formally known as Can. Ch. Mokobreeze Akamai Ladys Secret HIC went Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite sex all 3 days to finish her championship, breeder/owner handled by Cindy Chan.  Brother Brogan, now formally known as VP-4 rated Can. Ch. Akamai N Mokobreeze Giacomo HIC finished his championship on Sunday with a Best of Winners and Best of Breed win with great-grandma Traci Geremia handling him .... it should be noted that all 9 previous points were owner/handled by Lindsay Bauder.  Saturday their littermate, Ruckus (Akamai Bold Ruckus HIC), went Best of Winners and Best of Breed for 3 points breeder/owner handled by myself.  This was his only day entered and he showed beautifully for me and Traci in the group ring.  These pups are just over 12 months old and are out of Can. Ch. Ashemburg's Dark Side TT HIC X Can. Ch. Akamai Time Turner CGN TT HIC.

In the obedience and rally rings we were busy too.  Jewel (Can. Ch. & OTCh. Shacoram's Just Say When CDI RE BH RL2 CGN TT HIC) finished her Rally Excellent title with a 97, and an extra run for good measure on Sunday as well with a high in class score of 94.  Seeker (Can. Ch. Akamai Dreamseeker RN RL1 CGN TT HIC) entered the Novice B obedience ring for the first time and came away with her first leg just 1 point off of high in trial and some super comments from the judge, Jeff Lunder.  She also earned her first 2 legs of her Rally Advanced with a perfect 100 (second in class) and a 90.

I would also like to add a brag for the grandpa dog of our new champions, Caemon (Am/Select Can. Ch. Rothburg's Kourage Under Fire ZtP CDX Am. CD DDX RN BH CS CI CGC TT HIC) who at 8.5 years old finished his Rally Novice title and had a blast doing it!

What a fabulous month for the Ravenscrest family  July was with a number of very significant wins along the way. To name a few, Burton finished up the month maintaining a strong grip of the #2 spot (both breed and all-breed rankings ) in the United States- he remains #14 working dog of all working dogs shown in the US  throughout 2008.Amazing!!!! We are trying to determine whether any Canadian bred rottweiler has ever done as well. Meanwhile Burton's daughter Raven aka new Can Ch Parisan's Blackbird finished her Canadian Championship in style going BW at the RCC BC Regional Specialty for breeder/owner Suzanne Stoops.  Sugar meanwhile  showed why she was #1 bitch in breed in Canada for 2007 by returning to the showring after a 9 month hiatus to win her second BC regional BOSS- the first in 2006 from the classes. Not to be overlooked on the BC Specialty weekend was a significant breed win for Raven's littermate Avro owned by Annette Knight-- and sired by our Khan was Eaglehaus Canadian Dream CD owned by Tiffany Ferguson who in her first weekend handled by Teresa Bradley picked up a big 3 point Winners bitch win over lovely older competition

Burton- had a remarkable series of group wins/placements over the toughest of US competition, winning groups in Oregon --and  in the week he went back east, winning another Group in Wisconsin and a huge 400+ group 2 at the prestigious Canfield Ohio shows under Chuck Trotter before returning back to the Northwest to relax.

I'm very happy to share that our boy "Wolfgang" has achieved a few firsts for our breed this past weekend.

Starting with the Columbia River Rottweiler Club's AKC Specialties held Friday in Canby, Oregon; Wolfgang went Best Puppy In Specialty show under Breeder Judge Joe Hedl, to follow with another Best Puppy in Specialty Show under Breeder Judge Catherine Thompson!  This is definitely a first for a naturally tailed Rottweiler Puppy.

And yet another first for Wolfgang the next day.  At the Mt. Cheam All Breed Yearling Sweepstakes in Surrey, BC, Wolfgang goes on to become the first naturally tailed Rottweiler puppy to win Best Puppy In Sweepstakes.

All this following his VP-1 and Best Male Puppy in Show at the Columbia River Rottweiler Club's Annual Sieger Show early this month, under Breeder Judge Sylvie d'Auteuil.  Wolfgang is also half way to his CKC championship.

These recent wins make Wolfgang eligible for the CRRC`s Honour Roll.

We are glad that our happy go-lucky boy (the great 'tailed wonder') is changing some attitudes towards tails and our breed.

Our boy is now known as Multi BPISS, BPISwps, VP-1 '08 CRRC Best Male Puppy, Redwood Krest's Wolfgang HIC (CKC pointed and CRRC Honour Roll Eligible), owner handler by myself, bred by Joeri and Christina Goedertier, and out of Multi V-1, 2007 USRC Northwest Regional Sieger, Multi Youth Sieger In Germany, Quincy vom Plotzschgrund SchH/VPG I BH ZTP x ARV NW Regional Youth Siegerin '05 Kitti vom Muhlberg Sch I, BH.

We are thrilled that the new AKC results are out and - continuing his amazing achievements for a Canadian bred rottweiler-- Burton is ranked #2 all systems in the US - ( breed and all-breed). and we just have to brag for our co-bred puppy Pallas who at the tender age of 6 months defeated much older competition from both genders to win breed (Twice!) and  a Best Puppy in Group in BC

Barlowe obtained his Utility Title at the Red Deer Show on Sunday, April 6th.    After a horrendous drive of fog, sleet, icing conditions and snow…Barlowe and I arrived in Red Deer at 5 minutes to 8am.  The Utility Class started at 8am.   I was to be the second dog in, but the first dog hurt his back the night before and was pulled.  So with a bit of help from the great fellow competitors, I got my number, my article bag, glove and oh yeah, my dog.  We did a quick about turn warmup, a signal, and the judge was ready and calling us into the ring.    At least I had no time to get nervous!!  Well Barlowe just wanted to get this over with so he could have his breakfast.  He did a great job and came out of the ring with a qualifying score of 195 and his new title.

Barlowe is otherwise known as Ch.& OTCh. Wathaman’s Trail For Success TT

Way to go Buddy,

We are so thrilled at having such a wonderful weekend out at a couple of different shows.  This past weekend we attended the Camrose show with Chili (Onyxgold's Wicked Hot'N Spicy) who took Best Puppy all three shows and picked up Best Puppy in Group on Saturday.  She also took Reserve on Saturday, Winners Bitch on Sunday, and Winners Bitch/Best of Winners on Monday.  We also were pretty pleased that Chili's littermate Taser (Onyxgold's Hot Shot) picked up Winner's Dog on Monday for his first 2 points.

And certainly the best news last:  Our lovely girl Cajen (BIS/MBOSS/ Am Can Ch EternalFire's A Ragin Hotsauce) hit the Anchorage Alaska show circuit and picked up back to back Best of Breeds and her first US Group 1 win on Saturday; and a Group 2 on Sunday.

Thanks for letting us brag!!!

My lovely girl Jewel (Ch. OTCh. Shacoram's Just Say When CDI BH RL2 CGN TT HIC) has once again proven to me she loves to work by finishing her APDT Rally Level 2 title with a 197 and a 206.

Jewel's daughter Seeker (Akamai Dreamseeker CGN TT HIC) earned the first leg of her APDT Rally Level 1 title with a score of 202, and Jewel scored a 207 also earning the High Scoring B dog placement the previous weekend.

To top off all of the rally fun we have been having in February and March, I found out that Jewel earned a National Ranking Award in APDT Rally in 2007, placing #14 in Canada, going three better than her #17 ranking in 2006.

Thanks for letting me brag!

I received a lovely e-mail this morning from Canine Review magazine, informing me that they have finished tabulating the points to the end of 2007 & Levi is not only the #1 Rottweiler in Canada for 2007, he is officially the #6 Working Dog in Canada for 2007!!!

We are so proud of all our boy has been able to accomplish while owner-handled by Kevin.  We would like to thank his breeders Elaine Roth & Ken Cowan of VonRoth Rottweilers for allowing us to share our lives with this exceptional dog.

Levi is formally known as MBIS MBISS GCH VonRoths Everlasting CD CGN HIC

It was an exciting moment to be in the ring at Westminster  Kennel Club in New York  and to see Burton bringing home an Award of Merit to Canada. Burton finished the month of January 2008 by ranking #2 rottweiler in both breed and all-breed statistics in the USA having defeated over 1850 working dogs including 241 rottweilers in this first month of 2008 alone!  Even more exciting is Burton's ranking as the #12 dog of all breeds in the working group in the US for the month of January 2008!!!!. His achievements and those of his offspring just continue to amaze us with two Burton puppies ( Raven & Helo) sweeping all 3 Best Puppy in Show wins at the Renaissance Show in BC this past weekend

Logan earned his SCH 3 on Sat. February 2nd in McNeal, AZ under DVG Judge, Ted Hartman.  He received his 3rd High in Trial and was high scoring in all three components.  He also earned his BST on Sun., February 3rd under ADRK Judge, Edgar Hellmann.  Logan has earned all three levels of SCH in just over a month and took a High in Trial for each one.

It was another amazing weekend for Burton down in California taking Breed and Group 2  at the Tri Valley Pinon  Working Dog Specialty under judges Carolyn Alexander  and Larry MacKai respectively  and then another Breed win under Ekart Sangkunakup defeating more than 1850 dogs including over 200 rottweilers in the month of January 2008 alone.

Just a few brags from our weekend here in Calgary .... Dax (Ch. Akamai Rubeus Hagrid TT HIC) entered the specials ring for the first time since May 2007 under the guidance of 'Grandma' Traci Geremia and took the breed all three days, making the cut in group on Saturday.  Pretty exciting given this was our pet pick from our first litter.  He is owned and loved by the Csanyi's of Calgary.

My own girls had their own fun this weekend in obedience and rally.  Jewel (Ch. & OTCh. Shacoram's Just Say When CDI BH RL1 CGN TT HIC) earned a 190.5 in open B and then earned the first 2 legs of her rally novice title with a 96 and a perfect 100.

Jewel's daughter Seeker (Akamai Dreamseeker CGN TT HIC) also earned the first 2 legs of her rally novice title with scores of 94 and 96.  Pretty good for a 20 month old ....

It could not have been a bigger start 2008 after finishing #3 in breed in the US and #1 in breed in Canada* (*as per tabulated breed points to August 3, 2007), despite only showing 3 weekends here, BURTON won the working group at the Portland Or Euknuba shows with an entry of 705 in GROUP! This win and his time in the BIS ring there will be available on Animal Planet on April 12 together with candid interviews. This group win was in the biggest of competition with Burton defeating the #2 dog all breeds in the US for 2007, the #2 working dog in the US and a number of other top US working dogs. For the 3 days ( he went Group 3 , Group 3 on Sunday and Monday) Burton defeated 150 rottweilers and 1600 working dogs!! To top it all off, Burton's baby son Helo ( from 9-12) went WD/ BW for a 4 point major on the last day. Winning big is becoming a habit for baby Helo and his owners - what a great feeling as we head to Westminster with Burton, his littermate Kobe and his daughter Kona
