The Rottweiler Club of Canada held a Regional Specialty show
in Québec on June 5, 2004. This was the
first show in that Region in many many years.
Now that we have a Québec Director and we've held our first event there,
I only see things getting better for that region.
I made the 9 hour trip from Toronto, Ontario with fellow
club member Rachel Murphy, no dogs and a box full of prizes. It was a lot of fun. Our Québec RCC members Sylvie D’Auteuil,
Janin Beland, Marie-Josée Thibault and Christian Denis warmly greeted us and
they made us feel right at home. The
Société Canine de Québec inc. put on a great venue and was a pleasure to work
with. They even had the RCC logo on the
label of their homemade wine that they served at the banquet dinner on Saturday
night. The wine was called "Cuvée
du Renifleur". The wine was so so
but the food was great and the people were fantastic. I was so impressed; they even let me take an
(empty) bottle home as a souvenir.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the people that
sponsored our show.

We only had 12 entries, which isn't great but encouraging
because it should get better every year.
Hopefully this will become an annual event.
Thanks to those who guided, participated, sponsored, organized etc... it truly is a group effort to put on a show.
Congratulations to all the winners!
Best regards
